Eyebrow shaping 101?

I have never shaped my eyebrows. but i'm thinking of trying it out. I heard about shapes and waxing and such. but can anyone give me a rough idea about eyebrow shaping? i'm really scared that i'll look weird once its done. How long before it could grow back and what are the disadvantages?? what should i do if it does look weird?Eyebrow shaping 101?
Go to a professional, she will wax it and tweeze it. Ask her to draw and show you the final shape with an eye pencil along your eyebrows.

If you want to do it yourself:





Using a pencil, line up the outside of your nose to the outside of your eye and draw a line on your eyebrow at that angle. That's where your eyebrow should end.





Do the same thing with the outside of your nose and the inside of your eye. That's where your eyebrow should begin.





As for the shape, the arch should line up with your pupil. Only pluck from underneath your eyebrow to not mess up your natural shape. You can take a few strays from on top, but not from the actual eyebrow.
the old fashioned trick is to use a pencil, or a pen and line it up with your nose. any hair passed that can be gone. then line it up diagnally(cant spell) from the corner of eye to where the brow ends. any hair passed that should be gone.


this comes in handy for starters.


however I usually get mine waxed. the only disadvantage i think is the1 SECOND of pain. But after you do it so often it's nothing.

But I promise its worth it in the end.
You should always work from the underside of the brow, not the top. You should work slowly and not take too much off. Maybe do it once and then wait a day or two to see how you like the shape.





There are kits available with stencils to help you shape your brows.





if you're really worried, have a professional do it once, then you'll have an idea of how much to take off.
well i think that everyone has there own shape when they do their eyebrows.. if u do ur eyebrows go to a salon and get them waxed. But if you do that then your eyebrows will not grow fast. It will take 1 mont or so for your eyebrows to grow back out. But you have to try it out and see how u will look. It wount hurt you to get a diffrent look.
Go to a beauty salon who does them. Ask them not to make them too thin,just to make sure if you like them the way they are first,if you don't then you can always go back and get more taken off. They grow back within a week. If you tell them not to take too much off,the first time,you won't have to worry about them looking weird. I have my sister do mine.
