Why can't girls shape their eyebrows in Islam?





Also, can men tweeze in the middle, if they have a unibrow?Eyebrow shaping in Islam (rulings)?
A woman is not permitted to remove the hair of her eyebrows by plucking nor to modify them by a thread, razor, scissors or anything else, since such an action is considered a form of a prohibited Nams (plucking the eyebrows). The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) cursed those women who does such an action, whether it be to herself or to others.


In Sahih books of al-Bukhari and Muslim 'Abdullah Ibn Masoud reported that: ';Allah has cursed female tattoo makers - and those females who get tattooed, and those women who have their superfluous hair plucked from their faces and those who get that hair plucked, and those women who get their teeth filed (to make space between them) for beauty, and thus interfere in Allah's Creation'; .Eyebrow shaping in Islam (rulings)?

Shaping the eyebrows by trimming, shaving or plucking their edges in order to appear beautiful, as is done by some women nowadays, is haraam because it involves changing the creation of Allaah and following the Shaytaan in his tempting of mankind to change the creation of Allaah. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):





“Verily! Allaah forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners in worship with Him, but He forgives whom He pleases sins other than that, and whoever sets up partners in worship with Allaah, has indeed strayed far away.





They (all those who worship others than Allaah) invoke nothing but female deities besides Him, and they invoke nothing but Shaytaan, a persistent rebel!





Allaah cursed him. And he [Shaytaan] said: ‘I will take an appointed portion of Your slaves;





Verily, I will mislead them, and surely, I will arouse in them false desires; and certainly, I will order them to slit the ears of cattle, and indeed I will order them to change the nature created by Allaah.’ And whoever takes Shaytaan as a wali (protector or helper) instead of Allaah, has surely suffered a manifest loss.”





[Al-Nisa’ 4:116-119]





In al-Saheeh, it was reported that Ibn Mas’ood (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “Allaah has cursed the women who do tattoos and those who have this done, the women who pluck eyebrows and those who have this done, and the women who file their teeth and change the creation of Allaah.” Then he said: “Should I not curse those whom the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) cursed, when it says in the Qur’aan (interpretation of the meaning): ‘… And whatsoever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you, abstain (from it)…’ [al-Hashr 59:7]”

It is forbidden for men to pluck their eyebrows. (al-Mawsoo’ah al-Fiqhiyyah, part 14, Tanammus)





It is not permissible for men, just as it is not permissible for women, to trim their eyebrows. Islam forbids plucking even one hair, and trimming could affect every hair, which is worse. (This was the fatwa of our shaykh, Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ibn Baaz, when he was asked this question verbally).





But if the eyebrows are causing harm, such as falling over the eyes and preventing one from seeing properly, they may be trimmed as much as needed to remove the problem. (From a discussion of the matter with Shaykh ‘Abd-‘Allaah ibn Qa’ood).





And Allaah knows best.
Allah(swt) has cursed those who remove hair from their faces.

It is not about follow a ';strict'; sect of Islam it is about obeying the Quran which tells us to follow the Sunnah.
the Prophet cursed those who plucked eyebrows, have tatoos, and wear clothes as if there aren't wearing anything. ot's pretty clear that this is very disliked in Islam

NO men can not mess with their eyebrows bc this is haram in Islam (men trying to be women).





Also, women are allowed to trim their brows and take the middle out. You are just not allowed to pluck what is on the brow bone.

it is haram against the rulings of the quran and it is horrible that so many people pluck their eyebrows. i will never pluck my eyebrows. every Muslim that does not do what society is tempting her to do in this life will get extreme rewards in the hereafter. why not do what Allah says you know it is best you can not compromise with the all knowing.

i know its haram , but why i don't know.
only rare sects don't do it? Oh that's lovely, maybe it's just rare for people to practice Islam then. It is haram to do because you will be changing Allah's creation in a way he hasn't prescribed. Stray hair elsewhere can be taken care of since it could be caused by a hormonal problem etc. The hair of your eyebrows is decided by genetics.
Girls can shape and thread their eyebrows.


In some strict sectors of Islam, they think it's not allowed to. But those are the rare Muslims (I guess).
i think thats absurd. We cant validate that saying 100% and let women suffer for it. The women do it to look good and most girls do it.
God made them unique and studly with their bushy eyebrows and unibrows.

who say this? My Muslim friends get their eyebrows threaded and shaped all the time.
