How do you achieve nice shaped eyebrows?

My eyebrows are very plain, i pluck them every so often so that they're not to bushy and everything but they have no shape. I really want nice shaped pretty looking natural eyebrows but with the least amount of pain. Plucking hurts and i cant shape them that way. And i rather not have to go through the hassle of going to a salon, i dont like other people touching my face.. Is there anyway to achieve nice eyebrows, without going to a salon? How do you achieve nice shaped eyebrows?
No probably not if you don't know what you're doing. Besides... If you think plucking hurts, I doubt you'll like threading or waxing.

Why don't you try plucking right out of a hot shower. Grab no more than one hair at a time, and pull in the direction that the hair grows. While your pulling out the hair, apply pressure with a finger on the opposite side. It makes it alot less painful.

As for shape, check out this page... It's too much for me to just type out...

Things You鈥檒l Need:

enough eyebrows to shape

eyebrow brush

eyebrow scissors

white eyeliner pencil

regular pencil

tweezers

Step1

Eyebrow Brush

Trim Eyebrows (if needed) - Using the eyebrow brush, brush your eyebrows upwards and trim any hairs that may be uneven. Then brush downwards and do the same.

Step2

Point B: Method 1

Mark Main 3 Points - Point A: Use your regular pencil and place it vertically next to your nose. This should also line up approximately with the inner corner of your eye. Take your white eyeliner pencil and place a mark right above your eyebrow where the regular pencil intersects your eyebrow. Point B: Various guidelines say two ways of finding point B. Both will give you the approximate point of your arch. First method is to line up your regular pencil vertically to the outside edge of your iris (the colored part) and mark where the pencil intersects your eyebrow with the white eyeliner pencil. Second method is to place the regular pencil next to your nose and turn it to an angle so that the edge of the pencil lies against the edge of your pupil. Then you mark the point with your white eyeliner pencil where the regular pencil intersects your eyebrow. Either one works well and you can even use both methods and make a point right between the two marks. This should be the best place for your arch. Point C: Place the regular pencil against your nose and turn it to an angle so that the edge of the pencil lines up with the outer corner of your eye. Mark the point with the white eyeliner pencil where the regular pencil intersects the eyebrow. Do the same to your other eyebrow.

Step3

Point B: Method 2

Connect the Dots and Pluck - Pluck the hairs that are between Point A on both eyebrows (nobody likes a unibrow). Pluck any hairs that go beyond Point C. Contrary to popular belief, you are allowed to pluck above your eyebrows as some of us have too much eyebrow. Visually connect the dots and pluck any hairs that go beyond those lines. Pluck stray hairs below your eyebrows.

(using the link below, you'll be able to view the step-by-step diagrams)
The simplest do-it-yourself trick would be to buy (or if you're handy with Photoshop - copy and make your own) eyebrow plucking templates. A lady by the name of Anastasia makes the best ones and they come in several different styles. Anastasia is the eyebrow queen - she does pretty much every celebrity eyebrows you can think of! Just Google it, there's lots of places they are available. I've included a link below, they sell for about $20.

The biggest thing is DO NOT OVERPLUCK!!! overplucked brows are FUGLY!!! easy reference guide is a pencil.. seriously! good ole no.2 haha! hold the pencil from the right side of your nose up to your right brow ( this is how far in your eyebrow should naturally go) repeat on left side %26amp; remove the inbetween! next holding the pencil at your nose again align it with the outer corner of your eye extending it beyone your brow (anything on the outside of the pencil should be removed) repeat on oposite side remove stray hairs from under brow on eyelid DO NOT REMOVE FROM TOP unless they are just beastly!! haha then you should have the perfect eyebrows for your face :o) GOOD LUCK
You can buy stencils at the beauty supply store, or possible Walgreens or Target that will help you get a nice shape. You will still have to pluck or wax around the stencil, but it will help you get them nice and even. They also have some eyebrow products at Sephora that come with stencils and all the stuff you will need. The products are called Anastasia I believe.
well if u dont want to visit a salon then i wouldnt suggest waxing. so your going to have to pluck. your wrong tho plucking can shape the eyebrows, you just have to know how. take a ruler and some eyeliner, then, say ur working on the right eyebrow, line one end of the ruler up with the outer edge of the right nostril, then position the other end so it passes over the inner corner of the eye and mark where it is on the eyebrow. this should be where the eybrow begins. then line up with the pupil and mark on the brow, this should be where the arch reaches its highest. then line up with the outer corner of the eye, this should be the end of the eyebrow. heres a diagram cause i know thats prob. confusing.

hope i helped
To be honest, this is one of the things that you need to leave to the professionals.

I cannot do them as well as my eyebrow expert. However, it takes time to find a person you can trust to do your eyebrows.

I say ask a friend etc.

I found mine at Macys. They do eyebrows in the benefit counter.

Waaaaahhhhh!!!!!!! I want nice eyebrows but it hurts!!! If you want them you will get them done. Beauty its painful and time consuming. Get over it. Your going to have to get a higher pain tolerance if you want to survive.
Oh, I was going to suggest a salon. You dont need to wax, actually, threading is much better and healthier for your skin. Threading is also less painful than waxing, and cheaper.

Visit a salon.
Waxing them. It doesn't hurt that much. You can buy your own waxing kit at Sally's. Its easy to do and it really doesn't hurt that much!
visit a salon
get them waxed and put vaseline on them
ummmm,,,,,
