I'm looking for someone who specifically shapes eyebrows. Like if I bring a picture, I would like them to do the very best they can to get my eyebrows like I want them. I have grown mine out to their natural shape, I just need somebody very good to do them. You can give me recommendations for the surrounding areas, also, such as Beaver, Sewickley, Monaca. I think it helps, especially when professionally done (sometimes people tend to overpluck when doing it themselves and end up with what I call ';clownbrows';). I think you'll find that it virtually opens your eyes up and makes you look a bit more youthful. It just lends more interest to your face, plus looking well-groomed never hurt anyone. I bet you'll be happy with the results.

Although he does look better without the unibrow, he now looks like a pansy! well im not sure if this will help but you could use thread instead of waxing...it really helps...they use thread to remove the hair...its waaaaayyy better than waxing....my eyebrows look so clean and neat....plus the hair grows back faster....juust in case you want to change your shape....if you dont know what it is you can find videos on youtube of it.....good luck...and i hope you try it....:)
My eyebrows began to thin out as well when I started waxing them. And I definitely noticed that they were growing back more slow than usual (It took me about 6 months for my already slow growing eyebrows to grow back to their original thickness). I eventually just started using an eyebrow razor instead of waxing. I may have to touch up every other week or so, but its way better then worrying when my eyebrows are going to completely grow back.

Yes, I had gone to a beauty school to get my eyebrows waxed. The gal did it wrong and I ended up with half of the brow missing. It grew back just fine. Good thing that my bangs were long enough to cover this up. just enjoy your original eyebrow girl....but if you really want to get noticed, try a flat line and slightly curve up at the end, that is to balance your almond shaped eye and the curve is to look sexier.

angled i think would look really nice. go to mac or sephora online and find a good eyebrow kit. they usually comes with stencils, and with eyebrow powder. I prefer the powder compared to the brow liner crayons because powder looks more natural, and just experiment with the stencils. What I usually do is I use the stencil and strace around my eyebrow using a pencil (this is the only time I use a pencil, for the purpose of outlining) then once i decide on the shape i like, i pluck around the outline, after you are done, you can wash off the liner, and dont worry if it looks like you have no more brows, just use your powder to fill it in. they will look awesome. also, buy some scissors (the tiny ones that come in cosmetic kits) to trim the hairs down too (thats if they are a bit fuzzy)
Your want a curved eyebrow with a the angle at a certain spot across your eye. Take a pencil from the tip of your nose. The make the pencil go across the center of your eye at that angle. You need a mirror for this. Now get an eyeliner or lip liner to mark where the highest point of your arch should be. That is your natural shape. I let my eyebrows grow out for at least a couple weeks. It takes a month sometimes if i've over plucked. Then go to a eyebrow waxer/Estethician. Make sure their eyebrows look good the way you want yours.Not really thin, or that's what they will do to you. I never had my eyebrows look better in my life. It was the perfect arch. Too bad I moved to another state after that.

just curious, because there's been a lot of argument between my friends lately, about eyebrows. What do you think looks better? thick, thin, arched, straight, whatever makes you happy. Mine is be kinda thin, cause idk i think it lifts my face more and i had naturally like really thick unshapely furry eyebrows. Also, making eyes look bigger, any advice on that? In the meantime, you can use clear brow gel to give them some shape and have some control. Maybelline makes a really good clear one. Their red brow pencils are pretty good for filling in spaces.
I've heard some people use apply Rogaine to their brows to encourage growth.

For your brows to suit your face perfectly - hold a pencil across your face from the edge of your nostril to the end of your natural brow and mark...then move the pencil so it points straight up - and mark.
This will give you the perfect length of line for your features.
Pluck from the underside only!
If your brows are particularly heavy you may want to take a break after a while - it may take a few days to pluck them to perfection - it's worth the initial effort though, because once you get the shape right you only need an occasional tidy-up to keep them looking great.

You can buy an eyebrow stencil on ebay and do them yourself! Very cheap.
Find yourself a good beauty salon. They will help you. Don't attempt this yourself as the results could be disasterous! Good luck!

Permanent eyebrow shaping is the best thing i have one. you cannot go wrong. The eyebrows are frames of your whole face and if you get the right shape there is no need to change. Is there an alternative way to shape up / remove excess eyebrow hair?
i'm a guy with ok skin but my eyebrows are pretty out-of-control. the thickness doesn't bother me so much as the fact that there is a lot of excess hair surrounding and in between my eyebrows. i used to get them waxed, which looked really good, but i'm looking for an alternative. something about plucking and waxing just seems like it must be horrible for your skin. i've also tried nair / facial hair removing cream, which also works ok, but again, it doesn't seem like it would be great for your skin (a lot of the excess hair goes up as high as my forehead). any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. i'm pretty much open to anything that will work that's not potentially harmful.Is there an alternative way to shape up / remove excess eyebrow hair?

Because your eyebrows are so close to your eyes and are near some pretty tender areas of skin (and because they are on your face and visible to everyone!) I would NOT recommend a depilitory cream like nair and other creams/foams that remove hair with chemicals. These can burn your skin, or damage your eyes if you get them in them. Not to mention, just the fumes from those things can be pretty STRONG, and could possibly damage your eyes and your mucus membranes in your nose.
There are depilatory creams that I know some black men use on their facial hair... IDK much about those particular ones tho.

Around here it is 99$ for eyebrows, I am not sure if you ever have to get it redone, you might want to look into it though and see what info you can get.
Plucking is not bad for your skin, I've been doing it for 35 years and no damage. I've never waxed, but I would think that the only damage would be a burn from too-hot wax. Facial hair removing cream is not damaging to your skin either. Those are about the only options other than electrolysis, which is permanent, but is expensive, and from what I hear, painful, and takes forever to finish, because they can only do a small area at a time. Laser is not an option, they will not do it that close to your eyes (I've asked!) If I were you, I'd stick to plucking or waxing, whichever you prefer.

You could try nair or is it neet??? for sensitive face cream hair remover for a quick fix. But you really need to exfoliate to stop the hair follicles getting infected n leading to breakouts. Also when the hair starts to grow back you are prone to ingrown hairs....SO EXFOLIATE!!!!!! lol.

Continuous waxing can actually make the hair grow back more sparce and less thick. You could always try permanent removal. I saw one on Oprah - it came with a stencil to put over your eye brow and shade this area with a eyebrow pencil.
All the areas outside this stencil are tweezed. (get the tweezer on the base of the hair and pull out in the direction of the hair growth) Buy good quality tweezers as poor ones break the hair.
Stencils come in different shapes: high arch etc
It is very easy to overdo your eyebrows so I think the eye brow kit is a really good place to start.
On Oprah -this eyebrow expert used the stencil on some ladies from the audience and the difference was truly amazing.

Buy some tweezerman tweezers they are the best tool a girl can have (they sell them in boots now). If you have overplucked in the past then let them grow a bit and follow your natural arch, take your time and keeping stopping to check their both even , Dont take no hair from the top only the bottom hairs. You can buy a shaping kit aswell that have different arch shapes you can follow i got mine in M%26amp;S

Buy some tweezerman tweezers they are the best tool a girl can have (they sell them in boots now). If you have overplucked in the past then let them grow a bit and follow your natural arch, take your time and keeping stopping to check their both even , Dont take no hair from the top only the bottom hairs. You can buy a shaping kit aswell that have different arch shapes you can follow i got mine in M%26amp;S
If possible in your area, I would pay to have it shaped by a professional first, than I would keep up maintenance myself. Most towns you can find will do this at a salon that does hair and facials. Or somewhere that does waxing. I pay about $10-$15. I purchased a nice pair of tweezers from Trish McEvoy that I love and maintain weekly with.

Appropraite eyebrow shape for a 14 year old?
hi im 14 and i usually pluck my eyebrows but today im getting a salon wax for the first time. i let my brows grow and they look terrifying now lol. what shape should i ask for?

1. DO NOT get them done by someone that primarily does hair and does eyesbrows sporadicaly.
2. Tell them you want a natural arch that's clean on the top and bottom.
3. Tell them you want more than just a clean up as we say you need and actual shping.
** btw** you pluck chickens and tweeze eyebrows ( just a a little industry joke, they shove down your throat at school :)

And when I say ';Full';, I don't mean ';virgin eyebrows'; (eyebrows that have never been plucked), I mean that there are no weird gaps and it's not like a thin line. I have been so busy with exams that my eyebrow shape has grown out and I have been to the salon for a while :-( My exam have all finished now so I am going to go and get my eyebrows sorted out again but I would like some ideas on the best shape to go for.
I am pretty sure that my face shape is oval but I do have a bit of a high forehead, my hair is curly and about shoulder length, any ideas about the best eyebrow shape.

I have light eyebrows, especially as they head away from the nose towards each end of the upper eyes. I was considering going in for eyebrow tinting but am not sure if it is right for me. (also, i feel a bit odd going in and doing this though i'm sure it would be for the best?)

You can get your brows tinted by a professional if you want to. Don't DIY 'cause you can injure your eyes.
Since your brows get lighter towards the ends, don't worry so much about shaping. Keep in mind, that if you do pluck some hairs, the brows may appear lighter because they are less dense.
Unless it really bugs you, don't worry about it. Guys have way more flexibility when it comes to brows. The most serious issues are uni-brows or long, bushy brows.
I knew a guy who got his eyebrows shaped. They were so perfect, everyone suspected him of being a drag queen. I'm a girl, and like all girls, I can get away with shaping my eyebrows into a natural looking arch. Guys can't look so well kept without risking the above, so my advice is to keep a tidy yet somewhat scruffy look. If you have a unibrow, by all means get rid of it! As for the hair that scatters out from the brow bone, you can clean it up a little. If you have hair growing down to the crease, you might want to pluck those out, but leave the hair about a centimetre margin from the natural brow line, so you don't look too groomed. A good rule of thumb to define the length of your brows: take a pencil and line it up with the outside crease of your nose and the outer of the corner of the eye. Anything outside that line (towards your temple) can go. The same could be said for the hair outside of the line from your nose crease and the inner corner.
As for colour, I do it myself. I use the just for men stuff that is meant for beards. Pick a colour that is not more than one shade darker than your roots. Smear vaseline around your eyelid, sensitive areas, and stuff you don't want dyed, apply the stuff according to the package instructions, and wash off five minutes later (don't leave it on much longer than that!). Be careful with your eyes and this caustic stuff, but I find it works well and is a hell of a lot cheaper than going to the salon.

Take a pencil %26amp; place it vertically (up %26amp; down) between your nose %26amp; eye. This is where your eyebrow should start. Then use an eye pencil to draw the shape brow you'd like. To find out where your arch should be, it should be directly over the far outer corner of your iris (the colored part). When plucking, always use a good set of tweezers, %26amp; be careful not to over-pluck. Your eyes may be red %26amp; puffy at first, I usually use ice to stop the swelling/redness, or cucumber slices. when u are tweezin ur eyebrows, get a pencil or somethin like that, and hold it from the tip of ur nose to the outside corner of ur eye,and do the same with the inside this is where u should begin plucking, to start an arch look straigt into the mirror, and the arch should be at its highest point above ur pupil.. thinner at the ends is best but diff things suit diff ppl, so why dont u go to a beauticians the first time and then all u hav to do is follow there guide

for a start you should not be shaping your eyebrows yourself unless you are a beauty therapist if not than you'll need to go to a salon, however if you get a pen and hold it at the side of your nose and go up to you eyebrows then that will show you how much you have to take off in the middle, then hold the pen in the same place (at the side of your nose) and move the pen across the eyebrow so that it is nearly stright then that is were your arch should start, remember if this is your first time waxing you eyebrows or even plucking then dont take off to much this time, good luck hope this helped you.

If your looking to clean your eye brows up...the salon [nail salon will do it for cheap! $5-$8] can do that for you. They will just wax the out lining of your brow to make it more clean cut. as far as thinning..i wouldnt look into that...they will actually take off from your eye brow its self and you never know, turn it into a line of a brow lol next thing you know your drawing them! jk! haha. keep the thickness but cut the length [grab your eye brow hairs forward] and the surrounding areas.. i wouldnt look into shaping eather. unless you rather have a defined arch in the brow..Could someone tell me the difference between shaping, thinning, and cleaning up eyebrows?
Shaping: Shaping your eyebrows is giving them basically a nice shape. Usually girls like to have a nice arch in their eyebrows but i don't think its the same for guys
Thinning: Thinning is just making bushy eyebrows thinner. This would work for you. as you sad you have bushy eyebrows.
Cleaning: Cleaning is plucking out the hairs that are out of place. For example, you might notice that there are a few random hairs below your eyebrow. They would pull those out
If you like the shape of your eyebrows but just want them thinner ask for them to be thinned. Also ask for your eyebrows to get cleaned
Shaping: Is making the eyebrows into an arch or a thin line. Normally your natural shape is best.
Thinning: Like you said your eyebrows are thick so basically you would just make them thinner.
Cleaning: After plucking or waxing them once they grow back but all over the eyelid, so you need to pluck or wax them on a regular basis (I'm every 2-3 nights). Cleaning is used to get rid of the hairs that stick out or aren't supposed to be there.
You should pay around $10-$15 AUS. Just ask them to thin your eye brows a bit but leave the natural shape. You don't want to make it too noticeable!
I think shaping is changing the overall shape of the eyebrow, thinning is removing the bulk, and cleaning up just means... cleaning it up, like if you get your eyebrows done regularly, you might go every so often after they grow back.

Shaping eyebrows with a razor?
I am going to use an eyebrow razor to shape my eyebrows and it is specifically made for eyebrows. But I don't wanna have stubble. Since it's made for eyebrow hair and it's a blade it won't look all nasty right? And what are some good tips for shaping my eyebrows. Ok :) this is what I do, found this in a book and its proven vital.
You can do this with a pencil. Simply hold it in the same place as the line on the photo to see where you need to pluck. You see all eyebrows look different to suit each face.
red line: this follows the edge of your nose straight upwards. Pluck away all hairs to the right of this line (to the left on the other brow)
orange line: this shows you where the highest part of your eyebrow should be and usually tends to be where your natural arch is, you'll see the line passes through the dead centre of your eye too (draws attention to them ;) )
yellow line: not as major as the other two but tells you where your eyebrow should end, to the left of this line is too far.
If you want to use some pencil choose quite a light shade and make sure you're colouring rather than drawing. Personally a bit of clear mascara is good for me.
