Ok :) this is what I do, found this in a book and its proven vital.
You can do this with a pencil. Simply hold it in the same place as the line on the photo to see where you need to pluck. You see all eyebrows look different to suit each face.
red line: this follows the edge of your nose straight upwards. Pluck away all hairs to the right of this line (to the left on the other brow)
orange line: this shows you where the highest part of your eyebrow should be and usually tends to be where your natural arch is, you'll see the line passes through the dead centre of your eye too (draws attention to them ;) )
yellow line: not as major as the other two but tells you where your eyebrow should end, to the left of this line is too far.
If you want to use some pencil choose quite a light shade and make sure you're colouring rather than drawing. Personally a bit of clear mascara is good for me.
quite a long essay but hope i helped hun :D
xxxEyebrow Help =S shaping?
Try to pluck a little bit in the middle of your eyebrow to give it more of an arch... If you dont trust yourself then go to a salon to get them done. =)
and penciling is really easy, find your color and draw them however you want them.
They actually look nice, as long as they're thin there's no need to worry :)
you already got the line but its a bit messy so u need now to pluck whats on the line and under to have a perfect line

Is waxing the top of your eyebrow common to achieve desired shape?
For 20 years I have only waxed/plucked under my brow but am now thinking I could achieve a better shape by modifying to tops at well. I have lopsided eyebrows and this would straighten them up. Can't believe it's taken me so long to realise. I was always under the assumption you don't touch the tops. My beauty teacher said so but I am starting to think it might be a commom practice? Is waxing the top of your eyebrow common to achieve desired shape?
If anything I concentrate more on the tops of mine than the bottom, I've never liked the whole high-arch thing one bit and this makes them look a lot more balancedIs waxing the top of your eyebrow common to achieve desired shape?
absolutely, it gives it a more defined shape, but please just do little bits at a time, just in case.
It feels lovely and clean afterward as well.
Alot of people come into our salon and if they have never had it done before, we explain the procedure, and if they choose not too then that is ok, as alot of people think that if you wax above the eyebrow that their lids become droopy, which is not true.
So you go for it girl, and I hope you like it.
I tend to leave the top of my brows alone. I've read that you can brush the hairs down and pluck out any errant hairs that aren't part of the natural curve of your brows, but generally it's a good idea to leave it alone. Having them professionally shaped from time to time can help you keep a clean, natural shape.
I have had my eyebrows done many many different places before I found my perfect match, and almost every time they did my top as well as my bottom. Even when I had them threaded they did the top. I also have different eyebrows. My left one sits a little lower then my right, so they typically take some off the top of the other. They also make my arches up through the top. Hope I helped!

Yes, I do it as well. I recommend going to a spa or another place that has a lot of experience with eyebrow shaping so that you can get the initial shape that you want. After that it is easy to wax/tweeze the strays.
Waxing is the second most common hair removal option for eyebrows (tweezing is the most common). Be careful not to over wax them, you may end up with removing more hair then you wanted to and then it will take time to regrow.
OMG!! IF YOU WAX THE TOPS OF YOUR EYEBROWS ,IT WILL MAKE YOU LOOK LIKE YOU ARE ';DOWN IN THE DUMPS'; . IT WON'T BRING THE BEST OUT OF YOUR MAKE -UP EITHER. IT WILL ALSO MAKE YOU LOOK LIKE YOU ARE FROWNING. AND NO WOMAN WANTS THAT. I HOPE THIS HELPS.
i have only had my eyebrows waxed once, it didn't really give them a real shape , just got rid of the stray hairs i totally prefer threading, it is fast and give a better shape then waxing plus it is really cheap.. try it
i wax the tops of people's brows when it would greatly enhance the shape. most people ask me to do the tops. the only time i won't is when it will ruin his/her natural shape or make them too thin.
It is a common practice. While I worked as a cosmetologist I always waxed/plucked the upper and lower brows. I do my own that way.
I have pretty 'munted' eyebrows too. It sucks because removing one wrong hair can make them look stupid but I get both top and bottom waxed and it helps them look better. Just be careful not to take too much off.
Extremely common. Keep in mind that over time you may not re-grow hair that has been tweezed. It's best to have someone professional shape your brows for you.
Yeah. When I get mine waxed, they sometimes do the top ones (closest to the ear).
I hope this helps!
yep thats what i do but dont wax them...pluck...if you pluck your eyebrows you are less likely to take your eyebrow off and look funny
yeah its common
The person at the salon that does my eyebrows does it
As long as you don't take off too much hair...just a thin line
well thats what i did..mine used to be lopsided as well :/ but this fixed them and i got a better arch...but you gotta be really careful
It's pretty common, but make sure you don't over do it.
I did that and now I have to deal with it =/
you have to do both but getting your eyebrows threaded gives a much better shape
yeah

What eyebrow shape would suit me?
I've got an oval face. To me I've got a big face. Lol.
But what shape do I do it in. Not It's just a thin line, but goes up a bit in the middle, something like a 'v' turned upside down, but broader. I like it, but I want something better.
Hope you understand what I mean. LOL.What eyebrow shape would suit me?
If it is your first time plucking go see a beautician and discuss it with her, let her pluck/wax them, that way you have a a base shape if you want to carry on doing it yourself. What eyebrow shape would suit me?
try a oval shape!
Dont shape your eyebrows pencil thin, as thick eyebrows add definition to your face. Arches are always nice :)
Many women have lived to regret plucking their eyebrows because the hairs never grew back. Now they have to pencil them back in. Unless you have a mono brow, don't try to change their shape. Plucking stray hair is different to trying to make them grow in a way that you want. High brows also make a woman look like she has had a face lift too.

just a few handy tips x
You're talking bout an arch right?
Try to make them thicker in the middle (near your eyes), and go thinner and thinner from there.
Try not to make TOO much of an arch though.
Girl, you've got to go to a salon. The salonist will know what fits you right. Let them wax your eyebrows. They'll tell you what you should fill in too if your eyebrows are already too thin.
if you are new to trimming brows keep it simple and only pluck the outers. Remember Brooke Shields and the Hemmingway sisters had thick trimmed brows. They all look beautiful dont make your brows pencil thin because they can't grow back the same. Just start out with the stray small ones and respect your natural shape. Pamela Anderson looks good with thin brows, but Brooke is a beauty with her exotic brows. We are all individual. Personally I like my brows a little thick , but trimmed. Remember that when you pull them they cant grow back. just helpful good old fashioned girl judgement. Hope I helped.

What is the best eyebrow shape?
a natural one. the ones I hate seeing are the super pencil thin shapes, the drawn on ones, and ones with really high arches. if it's natural, then it's pretty imo. What is the best eyebrow shape?
well different facial or eye shapes need different shaped brows.
My general rule is to follow your natural line and you'll be fine!!!
Remember, less is more because you can always tweeze one more hair but it takes time to grow them back after a mess up.What is the best eyebrow shape?
unibrow that looks like to hairy caterpillars kissing
The natural one, if you dont follow ur own natural arch they can look really fake. Have a look at this site http://www.nzgirl.co.nz/articles/4009
Hope this helps :)
everyone's face is shaped differently, so an eyebrow shape that looks good on one face won't necessarily look good on another person.
a bit thick in the inner part and thin on the outer and a an arch at the centre
the skinny thin brows r out and a bit thicker ones r in.make up brushes

Is shaping eyebrows advisable for a pregnant woman?
it has no effect on the baby or on you...
its just hair roots getting pulled out...
hey if sex has no effect - then pulling out a few hairs wont do any harm..
girlfriend... do whatever makes you feel good and beautiful.. especially in pregnancy, when women's ';confidence'; may sometimes go down a bit, because of all the hormones and change in body...
so just get plucking and look beautiful - for yourself!!!Is shaping eyebrows advisable for a pregnant woman?
yes wat is wrong wid that ??Is shaping eyebrows advisable for a pregnant woman?
yes, perfectly in order and safe. all the best.
Why not? Better than a unibrow and as long as it doesn't involve chemicals it should be safe for both mom and baby.... remember, your face isn't pregnant!
no harm to woman or baby
really??? course you can still do that
you can shape even the pubic hair without prejudice to your pregnancy.
What does waxing eyebrows have to do with pregnancy??
How would it effect you baby?? You don't drink the wax do you??
Hi,its fine to wax and pluck eyebrows just dont forget your bodies more sensitive than usual when waxing!
I don't think plucking or shaping with a special razor has any negative effects on your pregnancy. I did hear from some women that they stopped waxing them since their skin got red and irritated a lot easier.
It doesn't harm u, it increase ur beauty only mrs. Carry on.
only if its stressful,in that case just put globs of hair gel and style
there is no relationship between eyebrows and pregnancy you can do
It has no harm but can show good result on baby shape too.
