I went to buy a new eyebrow bar earlier and the woman on the till told me to buy a banana shaped bar because straight ones grow out quicker. Is this true? Because i dont think banana shaped ones look as good as straight bars and i don't know whether to risk wearing a straight bar or not.Is it true that straight eyebrow bars grow out quicker than banana shaped bars?
nope. complete myth.

What's the prettiest eyebrow shape?
arch, no arch, curved...
or does it deepend on the face shape? What's the prettiest eyebrow shape?
I really like eyebrows that are straight and full, no arch, no curve. It sounds weird, but girls with eyebrows like that look like they have much more emotion in their eyes and they are so pretty. And when I say ';Full';, I don't mean ';virgin eyebrows'; (eyebrows that have never been plucked), I mean that there are no weird gaps and it's not like a thin line. What's the prettiest eyebrow shape?
curved with a little bit of an arch
the arch is important for definition but too much of an arch is too intense looking (dont know how else to put it :P
also if your eyebrows are naturally thick dont pluck them unnaturally looking thin because it looks bad
keeping your eyebrows shaped is so important for your whole look
It depends on your face.

HTH
I think that no arched (straight) eyebrows looks the prettiest, but it really does depend on the face shape.
I have arched eyebrows, which I don't like but would look odd with any other type
=]
I think that you should feel over your eyes on the bone, it will be like your guide line for shaping your brows.
curved, with a slight arch. too much arch
looks fake, kinda like you got a face lift (=

Eyebrow tinting and Brow Shaping? (I'm a guy)?
I have light eyebrows, especially as they head away from the nose towards each end of the upper eyes. I was considering going in for eyebrow tinting but am not sure if it is right for me. (also, i feel a bit odd going in and doing this though i'm sure it would be for the best?)
also...even though i have rather light eyebrows, they arent typical arches or lines. They tend to get bigger as they spread out. The biggest part is also the lightest. i hope you understand what im saying.
anyways... is eyebrow tinting and brow shaping the answer for me? That is if even eyebrow tinting is what i think it is? sorry im not a woman.
i live in los angeles and found this site. she has been on Tv and numerous magazines, she seems reputable. she charges $25 for the tinting and another $25 for the shaping i believe. here is the link...

Should i do this?
Any valuable info is appreciated as i am completely oblivious to this world.Eyebrow tinting and Brow Shaping? (I'm a guy)?
Guys do it all the time and it looks great. Go for it!
I've been begging my fiance to get his eyebrows shaped but he just won't do it.Eyebrow tinting and Brow Shaping? (I'm a guy)?
no you don't
You can get your brows tinted by a professional if you want to. Don't DIY 'cause you can injure your eyes.
Since your brows get lighter towards the ends, don't worry so much about shaping. Keep in mind, that if you do pluck some hairs, the brows may appear lighter because they are less dense.
Unless it really bugs you, don't worry about it. Guys have way more flexibility when it comes to brows. The most serious issues are uni-brows or long, bushy brows.
I knew a guy who got his eyebrows shaped. They were so perfect, everyone suspected him of being a drag queen. I'm a girl, and like all girls, I can get away with shaping my eyebrows into a natural looking arch. Guys can't look so well kept without risking the above, so my advice is to keep a tidy yet somewhat scruffy look. If you have a unibrow, by all means get rid of it! As for the hair that scatters out from the brow bone, you can clean it up a little. If you have hair growing down to the crease, you might want to pluck those out, but leave the hair about a centimetre margin from the natural brow line, so you don't look too groomed. A good rule of thumb to define the length of your brows: take a pencil and line it up with the outside crease of your nose and the outer of the corner of the eye. Anything outside that line (towards your temple) can go. The same could be said for the hair outside of the line from your nose crease and the inner corner.
As for colour, I do it myself. I use the just for men stuff that is meant for beards. Pick a colour that is not more than one shade darker than your roots. Smear vaseline around your eyelid, sensitive areas, and stuff you don't want dyed, apply the stuff according to the package instructions, and wash off five minutes later (don't leave it on much longer than that!). Be careful with your eyes and this caustic stuff, but I find it works well and is a hell of a lot cheaper than going to the salon.
Hope this long winded explanation helps.
I've had eyelash tinting done several times by a esthetician in a reputable place. It lasted about 4-6 weeks. I was told it was a vegetable dye and safe. I know they also did eyebrow tinting and it was approx. $22.00 for each. I had no problems with the dye. Just make sure of the color you want because it does last. It sounds like both shaping and tinting should be done by the same person. Ask about adverse or allergic reactions with the tinting to be safe. I did buy a tinting kit for brows and lashes in a beauty supply store, but it's easier for a experienced person to do it.
I appreciate a man who takes some pains to look nice and well groomed....but this is a little to much for me.
If you're going to start tinting/shaping your eyebrows, you're making a good start by going to a professional--you don't want to do this yourself, ever (too much chance of ending up looking like Michael Jackson). Keep in mind that eyebrows require frequent maintenance--you'll be in the shop at least every three weeks. I've also read some articles about the person you mentioned, but I don't know anything about her personally. You can certainly get these things done cheaper, but it might not be a bad idea to start with the best you can find, who can correctly shape and tint your brows so that someone cheaper can then just ';copy'; that.
well if u dont like wat they look like no it wouldnt be wrong because i know some one who did it and it looked great

How should i shape my eyebrow arch, where should it start? that kind of stuff.?
just follow this
http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=h鈥?/a>How should i shape my eyebrow arch, where should it start? that kind of stuff.?
Take a pencil %26amp; place it vertically (up %26amp; down) between your nose %26amp; eye. This is where your eyebrow should start. Then use an eye pencil to draw the shape brow you'd like. To find out where your arch should be, it should be directly over the far outer corner of your iris (the colored part). When plucking, always use a good set of tweezers, %26amp; be careful not to over-pluck. Your eyes may be red %26amp; puffy at first, I usually use ice to stop the swelling/redness, or cucumber slices. Now go pluck yourself! lol!How should i shape my eyebrow arch, where should it start? that kind of stuff.?
when u are tweezin ur eyebrows, get a pencil or somethin like that, and hold it from the tip of ur nose to the outside corner of ur eye,and do the same with the inside this is where u should begin plucking, to start an arch look straigt into the mirror, and the arch should be at its highest point above ur pupil.. thinner at the ends is best but diff things suit diff ppl, so why dont u go to a beauticians the first time and then all u hav to do is follow there guide
This video is pretty helpful-

for a start you should not be shaping your eyebrows yourself unless you are a beauty therapist if not than you'll need to go to a salon, however if you get a pen and hold it at the side of your nose and go up to you eyebrows then that will show you how much you have to take off in the middle, then hold the pen in the same place (at the side of your nose) and move the pen across the eyebrow so that it is nearly stright then that is were your arch should start, remember if this is your first time waxing you eyebrows or even plucking then dont take off to much this time, good luck hope this helped you.
I go to a professional to help shape my eyebrows and i take care of the rest
A little Curve but not like a arch if you no what i mean! And Make the ends thiner than the start..x
i think u should go to ur hair stylist coz every face have different eyebrows that fit to it n anyway i think u should start from the middle if u got hair there but i would recommend a hair stylist!!

What are good eyebrow shapes?
i have a round face and im going to get my eyebrows waxed..i have nice eyebrows so if they get too much then it grows back...but what is a good shape for a round face?
if you could give pictures that would be great :)What are good eyebrow shapes?
Don't leave them too thick, but thin eyebrow will make your features not proportioned. Somewhere in between, you know?
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pKos-WpFP7E/SC鈥?/a>
That would be a good size, but I'm not sure about the shape because it depends on your other features. It depends if you think this would be a good shape for you. What are good eyebrow shapes?
