How to make eyes more expressive? does eyebrow shaping help?

see,i'm going to enter a modelling contest and i have to send my pictures. i entered the contest last year and the year before last and not accepted. i looked at my pictures to see whats wrong with me and i found that my eyes very not expressive,eventhough i'm smiling. i wanted to try again this year and will try hard to win so what should i do to make my eyes more expressive?How to make eyes more expressive? does eyebrow shaping help?

really, stand in front of the mirror and think of something that'd make you feel a certain way, and if thought well, it should be petrayed through your eyes. let it shine through.





also, slightly squinting your eyes help, by making them look more friendly in a way, and sometimes sexy.





i really don't think eyebrow shaping will help. just train yourself to know how to move the muscles around your eyes and your cheeks.
u need 2 try puttin a thin layer of eye liner above ur eyes ans under ur eyes and wear a light shade of eye shadow.
in order to get great expressions..you need to get in character..watch ANTM ((americas next top model)) facial expressions are extremely important...getting your eyebrows done will help...but you need to realize its more about gettin into the role..if youre sad...your eyes will show it...when youre happy your eyes show it...if youre tired...your eyes get red, puffy and you might get bags and it shows youre tired..

Hard to say without seeing pic of your eyes but yes brows can make or break the eyes.. you might have awesome full brows best to leave alone.... I don't know ....ask a pro who can see you!


....don't goop up too much shadow or lashes... just be you and smile WITH your eyes.


practice this.... you will get how to make them sparkle! And don't be scared in front of the camera!


Just be you and have fun! Thats what it's really all about!!!!

What do you want your eyebrows to say%26gt; Take a good look at what they want to say and make them say that which you want them to say. It doesn't matter in the long run because no matter what you think, its in the hands of the judges and even if you spend all this time and worrying about you eyebrows, you're probably so pretty it won't matter. Think happy thoughts and be happy inside, then and only then will your true beauty shine. They WILL se that as judges. Believe me, I know. Work on some of talent instead with all that extra time you'll have !! Good Luck
don't be your own judge of your photos. go back to who rejected the photos and ask why they were not accepted.

Having the right eyebrow shape is very important, but you can make your eyes come alive with the right makeup. Makeup can make your eyes look bigger, brighter, and more noticeable. Just make sure it does actually look good.
Mascara and Eyeliner should do the trick. I would only do a light shaping of the brows to make them not bushy. I wouldn't go too thin. Myabe a couple of false lashes in there too to make them seem bigger and brighter.
Yes Eyebrows are everything!!!! But, I think you should go have them done at a professional salon, Not one of those cheap nail shops! Have the make up artist give you some hints on doing your eyes. Sometimes it just takes alittle change to make a big difference.

There are several good tricks, like fake lashes, curling your lashes, applying a pale pearly shadow on the inner corner of your eyes, black eyeliner (I like a pearly black one, and then I swoop it up and out at the outer corners for a ';cat eye'; effect), highlight your browbone with a light pearl shadow (I love an oyster shell shadow), and getting your brows done by a professional will DEFINITELY help. (You can *never* have brows that are *too* perfect!) Two suggestions for you: either have your makeup done professionally or, if that's out of your budget, go to a department store and ask at the makeup counter of one of the lines you like to make you up. (You should be prepared to buy an item or two; while most lines will make you up for free, some will want you to buy an item or two.) In either case, ask the person doing your makeup to show you what she's doing, and also to make notes for you so you can recreate the look for yourself at home. Most of them have a sheet of paper with a face on it and they'll make notes on it like ';Beachy Pink blush on the apples of the cheeks,'; and ';Pale Linen shadow on the lids, Mochachino in the crease,'; that kind of thing. They'll often swipe those colors right onto the paper so you'll see the colors at home, too.

Makeup does nothing for your eyes if you dont know how to give some sparkle to them. What makes some models increbile are their eyes. You have to give them that life, that sparkle that modles MUST have. If you just smile, it makes little difference. These pics might help!

yea eyebrow shaping helps idk, but maybe try some eyeliner too.
i would try getting your eyebrows done, it makes your face look totally different and great
It is very important to be yourself and do not push yourselve to do poses or expressions that u arent comfortable in,instead,when u are taking a shoot,be sure to not move your eyes too much but instad think of happy thoughts,and that could actually give u a better natural expression.
sure, try arching yur eyebrows just plz dont tattoo your brows...judges hate that and it doesnt look very good
it kinda depends on your skin color....
there are several things you can do.





one thing you've already said. eyebrow shaping. go to a salon and have them waxed. tell them you're situation and what look you are going for. they'll be able to help you.





another thing you can try is color contacts. if your eyes are a brilliant or sparkling color, they will be very attractive and more expressive. pick a color that goes best with your skin tone and hair color.





lastly but not least is the makeup you use around the eyes. for example, eye shadow and mascara. use this tastefully to bring out the contrast of your sparkling eyes.





i'm sure there are other things you can do but this is what i can think of. don't feel limited to one thing in particular, mix and match until you have the look that is right for you.
